Valve drastically reduced the price of a unique Dota 2 skin: what happened

The price of the Turstarkuri Pilgrim set for Anti-Mage, which includes the female version of the character, dropped by more than half after the release of the new Collector's Cache.

Reddit users immediately took notice of this change.

This decline was caused by the introduction of the Proselyte of the Sakura Clan set. Previously, the female version of Anti-Mage was available in The International 2020 Battle Pass. Later on, the Turstarkuri Pilgrim set was added to the game, which also included the female persona but was extremely rare. The situation shifted with the release of Collector's Cache 2024, where obtaining the female version of Anti-Mage became much easier.

Reddit users quickly started joking that they feel sorry for players who stocked up on this skin before the release of the third act of Crownfall, which caused the price to plummet by more than half. Previously, the skin's price exceeded $90, but now it has dropped to $32.

It's worth noting that earlier, a joke by Denis "larl" Sigitov caused the price of a Dota 2 skin to jump almost tenfold.
