Valve drastically nerfed the strongest hero of Patch 7.38

Valve has nerfed Dragon Knight by removing the bonus magic damage to towers that came with his Wyrm's Wrath Ability.

Mark ‘Sikle’ Lerman reported this on his Telegram Channel stating:

“Dragon Knight has been changed: now ‘Wyrm's Wrath’ with a fire aspect no longer inflicts an additional 10-40 magic damage to buildings"

Sikle added that the ability’s damage was bugged and dealt magic damage to structures which had no magic resistance leading to a very absurd bonus. He partially blamed this for Dragon Knight high win rate.

Still, he conceded that Dragon Knight's performance win rate still placed highly, and as Dragon Knight was nerfed, the ability did not change his overall performance too much.

Dragon Knight is Dota 2's strongest hero as of patch 7.38, having a win rate over 10% after matchmaking, his current win ratio is 54%.

Earlier, Alexander "Nix" Levin had quoted the best heroes for every role, with respective to each of the player empires of patch 7.38.
