Valve has disabled the ability to view pro players’ public replays

In the new Dota 2 update released on June 18, 2026, Valve developers removed the ability to view replays of pro players’ public matches.

This was reported by Team Spirit analyst Mark “Sikle” Lerman on Telegram.

The new update removes the ability to view games by right-clicking on a friend and the “Watch Game” feature if a player’s rating exceeds 8,500 MMR. However, while replays are no longer accessible within the game, Dota TV is still operational.

The update also corrected the description of Io’s talent, which previously stated that it “adds +50 damage against heroes from Spirits” and now reads “adds +50% damage from Spirits.”
