Valve had banned account boosters that topped the Dota 2 leaderboard, including accounts that have a rating of 19,000 MMR.
Mark "mangekyou" Kharlamov, who is also one of the top European doto players, revealed this information.
“Today, the remaining boosting accounts with a block rating between 12 to 19 K MMR got dealt with. Accounts were being blocked manually, which means that something will be coming tomorrow. I intend to stream a lot, make TikToks. Feel free to give advice if you have any. My intuition: something enormous is going to happen because they have started chasing after serious boosters”
His lines suggest that maybe there is talk from Valve about a full MMR reset for Dota-2 as the accounts that can be boosted have been blocked. Though there hasn’t been any formal announcement on this from the developers’ side.

Previously Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov provided commentary around the MMR reset account saying that it is an option they should consider and that might eliminate problems related to matchmaking.
