Valve Announces Changes to the CS2 Competitive Map Pool

The Overpass map will be removed from the competitive map pool in Counter-Strike 2 at the start of the new competitive season.

The developers announced this on the official CS2 page on X.

In place of Overpass, the reworked Cache map will appear in Premier Matchmaking and on the pro scene. The current Premier Matchmaking season will end on July 6, after which the changes will be implemented. It’s worth noting that Anubis was added to the competitive map pool at the start of the current season.

As a reminder, Valve previously brought Cache back to CS2 in an updated form, revamping the map’s visuals and partially altering its atmosphere.
