Valve has added skin rentals to CS2 by releasing a global game update

Valve released a massive patch for CS2, which significantly changed gameplay, made adjustments to grenades, and reworked one of the maps. One of the main features is the ability to rent skins from cases.

Skin Rentals
Now, when you open a "Kilowatt" case with a key, you will have the option to rent the entire collection for a week (excluding a rare special item) instead of keeping just one item.
Rented items will be replaced with default versions after the rental period ends.
Rented skins cannot be modified with stickers or badges, nor can they be traded or sold on the Steam Marketplace.
Maps
Fixed some errors and issues on Baggage, Office, and Mirage.
Point A on Vertigo has undergone significant changes.
Gameplay
The flame height from Molotov and incendiary grenade now decreases over time.
Team reward for losing a round with the bomb planted has been reduced from $800 to $600 to lessen the impact of the first round on subsequent rounds.
The price of M4A4 has been reduced from $3100 to $3000.
Minor adjustments to first-person camera movement have been made.
Console commands "switchhandsleft" and "switchhandsright" have been added.
Bonus weapons in Deathmatch mode are now the same for everyone.
Incendiary Grenade
Visual effects of explosion and flames have been changed.
Duration has been reduced.
Damage radius has been reduced.
Cost has been reduced from $600 to $500.
HUD
Fixed an issue where the name of the top player was displayed incorrectly.
Fixed an issue where the "Refund All" button in the buy menu refunded money only for one flashlight grenade.
Fixed an issue where the post-match statistics screen did not match the TAB menu.
Fixed an issue where the "Loss Bonus" popup remained on the screen after closing the scoreboard.
Blocking strangers' avatars on Steam now also blocks other user-generated content such as badges and stickers.
Chickens
Chickens have received several new animations.
Chickens can now climb slopes.
Chickens can now turn right while walking.
Interface
Various improvements have been made to the Warehouse main menu and background when viewing weapons.
Demo
The time indicator when watching demos now shows kills and deaths.
Demos can now be watched in highlight mode, showing only kills and deaths of the selected player.
Various minor interface changes have been made to demo viewing.
Client crash when watching a demo has been fixed.
Additionally, Valve released patch 7.36 for Dota 2, which significantly reworked hero abilities and other game mechanics.
