Valve has amazed fans by adding a unique feature to CS2 that no other shooter has. In a major game update, charms now serve not only a decorative purpose — each one is linked to one of hundreds of highlight clips.

The developers took a truly unexpected step by introducing a unique video playback feature. Now, each charm is tied to one of 492 highlights from the BLAST Austin Major 2025 playoffs.

This approach takes customization to a new level, turning familiar accessories into a living history of esports. In other words, by acquiring a charm, fans get not only a weapon decoration but also collectible moments from the esports world.

How to get charms

There are two ways to get these unique charms: by opening souvenir cases or buying them on the Steam Marketplace. Currently, the market price for the charms is not yet established, so the easiest way to obtain them is through cases. Each souvenir set is tied to a specific playoff match, and the chance of receiving a charm from the case is 100%. This means that opening a case for a certain match guarantees a charm featuring a highlight from that match.

How to watch highlights on charms

To watch a highlight from a charm, open the “Inventory” menu, select the desired charm, and press the play button. A recent update also added the ability to watch highlights during a match: if you are holding a skin with a charm or spectating a player with such a skin, you can press the “Inspect” button, and a small video window with the highlight will appear at the bottom of the screen.
