Valorant players received tens of millions of dollars from Riot Games: the colossal amount has been disclosed

Esports athletes who participated in the Valorant Champions Tour received a share of Riot Games revenue from in-game item sales. Valorant players earned over 33 million dollars from their partnership with the creators of League of Legends throughout the year 2023.

Leo Faria, one of the leaders in the Valorant esports department, shared this information on his Twitter page.

A similar system was in place in Dota 2 during The International 2023, where Valve allocated a portion of the sales of voice lines, stickers, and other esports-related items to streamers, esports players, and commentators.

According to statistics, the most lucrative were the Valorant Champions collection, bringing in $22 million in revenue, and the LOCK//IN bundle with $10 million. On average, each team received around a million dollars simply for participating in Riot Games' partnership program.
