New Dota 2 accounts demonstrate better performance in the game compared to old accounts. Fans have noticed a difference of approximately 70 FPS, which is a significant improvement.
One Reddit user conducted an experiment and shared the results with the community.
All tests were conducted in a private game room with cosmetic items disabled. Kuroyukihime1 believes that the performance improvement is due to the absence of cosmetic items in the inventory.

Several people conducted similar experiments in CS 2 and obtained similar results: an increase in performance by 50 frames per second or more. It is unknown whether Valve will address this issue.
However, some have argued that the problem is not solely related to cosmetic items. Commentators believe that the accumulation of old data, such as game demos, match history, participation in events, and other stored information on Valve's servers, could impact the performance of older Dota 2 accounts.
It's worth noting that earlier, Alexander "Nix" Levin mentioned rumors about a conflict between one of the creators of Dota 2, IceFrog, and Valve's management.
