"I used to do the same, exploiting bugs in the system. You need to quickly climb a lot of MMR to get into the top 50 ladder so that you get noticed and invited to a good team where you can start competing seriously"
According to him, he aimed to quickly gain MMR to catch the attention of a tier-1 team and be selected for major tournaments. However, he now believes that Valve needs to address issues with calibration and double tokens in the MMR system to fix balance flaws.
"Right now, you can buy an unlimited number of tokens, play one game for +-25 MMR, and then in the next game get outdrafted with no chance for about +15, and by stacking, you end up with a +55/5 gain. This seriously disrupts the economy of players and the 50% win rate system"
He added that the double token system also affects opponent matchmaking mechanics, making MMR rating a critical issue that developers need to address thoroughly.
Recall that previously, Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov made a shocking statement about the state of Dota 2.
