NS stunned with a loud statement about the state of Dota 2

According to Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov, a streamer and ex-esportsman, Dota 2 has 100 million real players. He believes that Valve could dramatically increase the number of online gamers by developing it properly.

He said so during one of his Twitch streams.

“More than one hundred million people in dormancy is my guess. It means those who activated the game at least once. But no one reaches out to them, nobody wants to return them back, there are no efforts to make this audience active”

NS also stated that Dota 2 may not be so popular anymore but that does not mean it is dead yet. The player pool will continue expanding if developers listen to fans, organize interesting events and introduce other captivating features into Dota 2 as per the video streamer’s opinion.

“Dota should never be buried by anyone except for fools who don’t have any brains or common sense – they’ll never know what it was like when it had its golden years from 2015 up until 2017.” Following which time average online dropped below four-five hundred thousand. At one point it reached six sixty six thousand; given an inclination towards growth in online-player numbers. And if everything done right–the users’ count increases”

It should be worth mentioning that NS had previously surprised by urging Valve not to overload the game with new mechanics.
