TORONTOTOKYO Riyadh Masters 2024

Aleksandr "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek, playing for BetBoom Team, set an unfortunate record at Riyadh Masters 2024 by becoming the leader in deaths by the Tormentor on the professional Dota 2 scene.

This incident occurred during a match against Xtreme Gaming.

The esports player started attacking the mini-boss on Chen along with Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko, but he still ran out of health and died, marking his 12th career death to the Tormentor. Moreover, this was already the third time TORONTOKYO had died to the Tormentor at Riyadh Masters 2024.

Notably, this is a record among esports players. Previously, Mateus "KJ" Diniz from Heroic held the record with 10 deaths to the Tormentor during official matches. Now, TORONTOKYO has surpassed this not-so-pleasant record for a pro player.

However, he wasn't the only one to die to the mini-boss at the tournament. It was a shock for viewers when Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk also met the same fate.
