Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek said that The International is not as prestigious as before, and you cant earn same money there anymore.

He said this during a stream on Twitch

“It feels like you are taking a risk. And Dota now… even if you are tier-1 player, how much money you really get? Compared to how it was before. Before you go to TI, and you already earned a lot. Now its very unstable. Feels dangerous, really dangerous”

TORONTOTOKYO noted that players no longer earn as much at The International as they used to. Moreover, he even suggested that people shouldnt start pro career now, because even tier-1 players earn very unstable money.

According to him, choosing esports now is very risky decision, and he doesnt recommend fans to spend all their time on Dota 2, because success and income are not guaranteed.
