Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek admitted that after switching to the offlane role, he was ready to play for almost any club just to gain experience, and he considers it luck that he managed to join such a decent roster like
Aurora.
He talked about this in an interview for OFFSTAGE on YouTube.
“Initially, I had the motivation to play third position, because after the last TI I played a lot of pubs. I was ready to jump into any more-or-less team, mostly for the experience. Honestly, I got a bit lucky that everything turned out this way and we managed to build a pretty good roster with Aurora. We also liked the organization. And now we are growing and continue playing together”
TORONTOTOKYO explained that after The International 2024 he wanted to play specifically as an offlaner. Since he switched his role, he was ready to join any more-or-less known club. So when the offer from
Aurora came, he immediately grabbed this opportunity.
The pro-player noted that he managed not only to gain experience on the Dota 2 pro-scene, but also to fit into a pretty strong roster.
