Topson created a new Dota 2 meta

Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen has brought back the legendary shotgun Morphling build in Dota 2, focusing on strength and magic burst damage.

Now, Flow increases spell damage by 1% for every 4 points of Agility, and Topson actively abuses the combo of Phylactery + Dagon + Ethereal Blade. The combo deals massive burst damage — enemies simply have no time to react.

The hero feels perfect in the mid lane: thanks to his insane damage and sustain, Morphling can easily dominate lanes while staying at almost full HP.

Topson usually builds the following items: Phylactery, Power Treads, Dagon, Ethereal Blade, Black King Bar, Octarine Core, Aghanims Scepter.

Players are already calling this playstyle the “new old shotgun” and predict Morphling return to the matchmaking meta in Dota 2.
