Tofu questioned his own success on the Team Liquid roster

Eric “Tofu” Engel is not sure that his move to Team Liquid will be the best decision for the team in the long run.

The player stated this in an interview with OffStage.

“I'm not sure if it will be the best decision for the team in the long run, but it definitely is for my career.”

According to Eric “Tofu” Engel, the player was faced with a choice between joining Team Liquid and Tundra Esports. The deciding factor was the opportunity to play on the same team as Marcus “Ace” Helgard, with whom the esports player wanted to stay in touch after playing together at Gaimin Gladiators.

"I was very excited about the opportunity to play with Ace. But again, there were different scenarios. I was very close to ending up at Tundra. The choice was between Liquid and Tundra, and there were numerous negotiations. I think it was a big season of reshuffles in general. But yes, I had a chance to join Liquid with Ace, and that outweighed everything else for me. I just enjoyed playing with him at Gladiators and wanted to maintain that connection."
