Wang “Ame” Chun-yu, Guo ‘Xm’ Hong-cheng, and Lin “Xxs” Jing may not only leave
Xtreme Gaming, but also end their careers as Dota 2 pro players after a painful defeat at The International 2025.
This was hinted at by the team's manager, whose words were translated by the Telegram channel “Muesli China.”
"You could say that we did everything we could.
Forty hours of intense matches left us completely exhausted, both mentally and physically.
There were translators, commentators, fans shouting words of support,
managers, data engineers — everyone helped until the very last second.
But deep down, we wanted so badly to go further. The players need time to rest and recover after such a difficult season"
Judging by his statement, the team was under tremendous physical and mental pressure. The manager noted that the players were devastated by their defeat at the Dota 2 World Championship and now need a break. However, it is not clear exactly what he meant by this.
Some fans believe that
Xtreme Gaming will simply skip the next few tournaments and take a break. Others are inclined to believe that Wang “Ame” Chun-yu, Guo ‘Xm’ Hong-cheng, and Lin “Xxs” Jing may go inactive or even end their careers altogether.
However, there have been no official statements from the club or players on this matter yet.
