Duncan “Thorin” Shields reminded Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak that Dota 2 began its development as a game where pro players from other disciplines relieved stress after training.
The analyst wrote a corresponding comment on X in response to Malr1ne's statement, who called Counter-Strike 2 boring due to the lack of competitive mechanics except for shooting.
“Reminder that DotA was the casual/fun game CS/Quake/WC3 pros played in the 2000s to let off steam after practicing a real esports game :>”
Earlier, Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak said that he considers Counter-Strike 2 boring due to the lack of competitive mechanics other than shooting. The esports player noted that in CS2, players only compete in reaction speed, which makes the game boring, and the outcome of matches is often determined randomly.
