Valve, together with PGL, announced The International 2023 Cosplay Contest with a prize pull of $20,000 and other valuable prizes. The main sponsor of the competition will be SteelSeries.

We are happy to announce SteelSeries, the worldwide leader in gaming and esports peripherals has been named the official sponsor of the International 2023 Cosplay Competition.
Participants do not need to have tickets for The International 2023. All cosplayers must register to participate and attend pre-judging outside the Climate Pledge Arena. All necessary information will be provided to all participants in the first week of October.
The awards for The International 2023 cosplay competition:
- Best In Show Award = $5,000 + Full set of SteelSeries Gear + 2 General Admission Tickets
- Best Technique Award = $3,000 + Full set of SteelSeries Gear + 2 General Admission Tickets
- Biggest Transformation Award = $3,000 + Full set of SteelSeries Gear + 2 General Admission Tickets
- Judges' Choice Award = $3,000 + Full set of SteelSeries Gear + 2 General Admission Tickets
- 6 Runners Up = $1,000 + SteelSeries Headset + 2 General Admission Tickets
