The Game Awards 2023: Dota 2 will compete for the title in two categories at once

The nominees for The Game Awards have been announced, and this year Valve has a chance to receive an award in two categories. Dota 2 is nominated for Best Esports Game and Best Esports Event.

The relevant information was published on the official website of the competition. Valve's MOBA will compete with four other popular esports titles.

Interestingly, Dota 2 could also win an award in another category, as the recent world championship, TI12, concluded, which is also a contender in its category.

• Blast.TV Paris Major 2023

• EVO 2023

• The International 2023

• Valorant Championships 2023

It's worth noting that earlier, Gaimin Gladiators were nominated for the title of the best esports team. This is quite unusual as they are the only Dota 2 team in this category, considering that Team Spirit won Riyadh Masters 2023 and The International 2023 but did not make it to this category.
