The best Dota 2 team of 2023 has been named, and it's not Team Spirit.

Gaimin Gladiators is the only Dota 2 team included in the list of the best esports teams of 2023 according to The Game Awards.

The announcement appeared on the official website of the competition.

Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov's team is competing with four other rosters from various disciplines, including Team Vitality, JD Gaming, Evil Geniuses, and Fnatic.

What set the nominees apart throughout the year:

• This year, Gladiators dominated by securing first place in six major Dota 2 tournaments and finishing as the runner-up at The International 2023.

• Team Vitality excelled in CS:GO, claiming victory in four tournaments, including the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

• Evil Geniuses won the VALORANT Champions 2023, while Fnatic secured the second spot in the same tournament. Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov's team also triumphed in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Masters Tokyo.

• JD Gaming became the champion in three major LoL tournaments and secured a top-3-4 placement at the 2023 World Championship.

Voting will continue until December 7, and the award ceremony will take place on the night of December 7-8 in a live broadcast.
