Ilya “Illidan” Pivtsaev,
Team Spirit streamer, praised Valve for nerfing
Magnus in patch 7.39e, despite the rest of the team being extremely unhappy with the developers' decision.
He spoke about this during a broadcast on Twitch.
“Skewer: movement now stops if the hero's actions are interrupted (by stun, curse, or banish). That's great. ***** this nonsense. It's a ***** fix. It was annoying that if you didn't react in time, you would lose 2,000 range. That's nonsense”
Illidan believes that Skewer should have been fixed a long time ago, because there was no counterplay to it, and one mistake could be very costly. The streamer praised Valve for this decision, while Korb3n and Collapse criticized the nerf to
Magnus.
Nevertheless, most esports players were dissatisfied with the patch changes, and some are already looking forward to the next gameplay update.
