Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov admitted that he is a long-time fan of Counter-Strike, showing off his unique collection of discs featuring the legendary game from Valve. Among them was even a unique disc with CS 1.6 and Steam on it.
The
Team Spirit manager posted a video about it on his Telegram channel.
"I was cleaning up my house and found some interesting treasures, so to speak. Counter-Strike version 1.1 is from 2001, or maybe 2000. There was also a fun paintball mod that we used to play back then. Then there was Counter-Strike 1.5 — I played it the most. That was when the era of computer clubs began.
Then there was my most valuable disc, which no one else had. Mods for Counter-Strike. There was no internet back then, so everything was here. There were waypoints and the toughest bots you could play with without the internet. CS 1.6 was pirated and didn't require an internet connection. 2003. And finally, here it is, the holy grail of my life. A licensed CS 1.6 disc with Steam”
Korb3n recalled that there was a time before stable internet, so true fans of the game had a collection of discs. The manager called his collection a real treasure, and especially values the licensed CS 1.6 disc, which also has Steam recorded on it.
It is worth noting that such a disc is a real rarity for collectors. Today, you can no longer find anything like this, and all users usually download Steam directly from the official website.
We would like to remind you that earlier, Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov stated that Valve does not want to share money with the participants of The International 2025.
