Alexander "StrangeR" Solomonov, former manager of
Virtus.pro, claimed that
Team Spirit may have been planning to sign Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak, but
Team Falcons victory at The International 2025 thwarted those plans.
StrangeR reported this on his Telegram channel:
"I don't have any inside information, but for some reason I'm certain that Spirit was targeting Malr1ne in the reshuffle, but Falcons' victory changed, if not everything, then a lot"
According to him, Malr1ne was supposed to replace Denis "Larl" Sigitov as the midlaner. However, this didn't happen because
Team Falcons won TI14, and now the midlaner is unlikely to want to change his roster.
It's worth noting that Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov also mentioned that he no longer considers Larl the best in the pro scene, handing that title over to Malr1ne.
