Team Spirit unexpectedly lash out at Azure Ray over the new roster

The Chinese team Azure Ray will not be allowed to participate in the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 tournament due to significant changes in the roster that violate the rules.

Dmitriy "Korb3n" Belov, the manager of Team Spirit, made this accusation of a blatant violation of tournament participation conditions in his Telegram.

"I am waiting for the official announcement from ESL about the disqualification of Azure Ray from the tournament in Malaysia. Since 3 substitutions are not allowed by the rules. Do not write in the comments that these are not stand-ins but roster changes. In the current reality, without transfer windows, I can change the roster every two weeks officially. And I haven't seen any transfer windows in ESL rules, only fines for stand-ins"

Recall that after the conclusion of the qualifiers for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, Azure Ray lost three players, but they have not yet announced replacements for the players. It is entirely possible that Korb3n is upset that Team Spirit could have also competed in the tournament, but it would have required more than two substitutions.
