Ilya “Illidan” Pivtsaev believes that Valve developers will start actively working on Dota 2 development only after the final failure of Deadlock.
The streamer shared his opinion on Twitch.
“Valve probably won't forget about Battle Pass, but will do ”on the back end". I think they'll start normal work on Dota when Deadlock fails. I don't know what else should motivate them to do it."
Ilya “Illidan” Pivtsaev also believes that Valve could trust third-party developers to work on the game if the company itself isn't too worried about its state. Although the content maker praised the latest patch, which adds a lot of changes to the meta, he believes that we shouldn't expect more in the near future.
"Either outsource it already if you don't care. Expecting something for now... The patch isn't bad though, I liked it. I don't think they'll do more than that."
Recall that earlier players called on Valve to conduct a massive wave of bans due to the poor state of Dota 2 matchmaking.
