Dota 2 fans have called on Valve to intervene in the matchmaking situation

Dota 2 fans are worried about the state of the game’s matchmaking because of the increase in smurfs and account boosters, and are calling for Valve to initiate a ban wave.

Valve performing a spring cleaning where they get rid of accounts they feel are not useful to the game is needed according to some posters on Reddit.

In the comments, users moan that the problem is especially severe in lower MMR brackets. They claim that they run into clear smurfs who have winning streaks in the hundreds. Other players complain about boosters who actively ruin the game for everyone else.

Many people have noted that this problem started occurring ever since Valve had their last major punishment wave two months ago. Because of this, people are now calling for harsher actions to be enforced.
