Ilya "Illidan" Pivtsaev who is a streamer for
Team Spirit gave two suggestions to Valve on how to completely change MMR system in Dota 2 so as to improve the game.
He said this during his livestream on Twitch.
“Dota is ****. You have 10k MMR – you’re in the top thousand. Why not reset this **** rating? ***** all these numbers? 14k, 25k, 250k! It would really revitalize this **** game because everyone would start playing in the new season. Just reset the **** MMR. Or, I don't know, reset everyone above 5k MMR...”
Firstly, he recommended that they reset the MMR for all players every season so that everyone starts from the scratch. On the other hand, he proposed a different option of relating different ranks with MMRs in Dota 2.
"Even better, reset by ranks. Everyone with Immortal rank reset to 3k MMR. The rest to 2k, and so on. It’s really such a *****. I really want everyone's MMR reset so that not even a hidden rating remains"
This would stimulate gaming experience and bring new life into matchmaking according to him. Note that many professional gamers have problems with the current MMR system and wonder why there is no rebalance at every season start.
It should be recalled that earlier Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov briskly dismissed all allegations against Dmitry "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk.
