Ilya “Illidan” Pivtsaev criticized the behavior of
Gaimin Gladiators players, who, in his opinion, could have avoided legal proceedings and gone to The International 2025 if they had compromised.
The
Team Spirit streamer spoke about this during a broadcast on Twitch.
"Gaimin Gladiators is suing its players? To be honest, I don't give a **** about these disputes because you don't know the whole truth. But to me, this situation is absurd. How unwilling to compromise do you have to be to say **** for the sake of your lifelong dream? To say: 'Okay, let's sort this out after the International'. I would have let this situation go and played under the tag, even if it was super *****. To get involved in all this ***** just like that..."
Illidan noted that he doesn't know all the details, but believes that the players could have avoided the conflict and even competed at TI14. According to him, the team could have gone under the
Gaimin Gladiators tag and dealt with the organization after the Dota 2 World Championship.
He recalled that participating in this tournament was a lifelong dream for some players, so he doesn't understand their behavior, although he doesn't justify the club.
As a reminder,
Gaimin Gladiators previously sued the former players of the roster and are seeking compensation of 7.5 million Canadian dollars due to the situation with TI14 and other violations on the part of the esports players.
