Ilya «Illidan» Pivtsaev, Team Spirit streamer, said that next year there will supposedly be fewer tournaments than this year, which upsets him.

He shared this during a Twitch stream.

«I like playing less than watching, but I probably won’t be able to watch tournaments much, because judging by rumors, there will be fewer tournaments»

Illidan admitted that he now enjoys watching Dota 2 matches more than playing himself. However, he noted that soon there might be problems with this. According to him, next year there will be fewer tournaments than this year, which frustrates him as a streamer.

He didn’t specify which tournaments will be canceled or why this is happening. Nevertheless, this could be related to rumors about FISSURE, as journalists published investigations claiming that the tournament organizer allegedly faced problems regarding tournament funding.

FISSURE themselves denied these statements and have not canceled any planned Dota 2 competitions so far. Moreover, players at the last FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 tournament praised the high level of organization and excellent conditions.

However, if the journalists’ rumors turn out to be true, the 7 tournaments planned for 2026 by this operator could be at risk.
