Ilya "Illidan" Pivtsaev, a streamer for Team Spirit, said that Amer "Miracle-" al-Barkawi had personal issues that prevented him from playing Dota 2. The player probably doesn't want to return to the pro scene.

He shared this insider information during a broadcast on Twitch.
