Team Spirit revealed who actually makes decisions about kicking players

Sergey “hally” Shavaev coach of Team Spirit stated that the final decision on roster changes belongs to him even though he consults with the CEO and the team captain.

He spoke about this in a new video on the club’s YouTube channel.

“If we talk about replacements we discuss them with Nikita he can share his thoughts and I share mine. But if he says I want to take this player and I answer no we will not take him. As it seems to me I can directly influence who joins the team but. He can also explain to me with arguments why it should not be done”

According to him even the club’s CEO Nikita “Cheshir” Chukalin can give advice or suggest players but the coach is the one who decides who gets replaced in the roster. At the same time he clarified that he listened to the opinions of Cheshir and chopper and eventually agreed with them which led the club to success.

Taking this statement into account one can assume that the departures of Ivan “zweih” Gogin and Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov were initiated by the coach as well as the replacements with Miroslav “zont1x” Plakhotya and Boris “magixx” Vorobyov who returned to Team Spirit.

Recall that earlier the Team Spirit manager named the main discovery of 2025 among Dota 2 players.
