Ruslana “DKLana” Berest said that the atmosphere at Counter-Strike tournaments and the behavior of teams in this esports discipline are very different from the Dota 2 pro scene.
The
Team Spirit manager and COO shared this opinion on YouTube after attending the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.
“It's very interesting overall. The atmosphere is unusual. In general, I like going to CS tournaments because the behavior of the teams and the way the tournament is run is very different from Dota tournaments, in my opinion. For me, it's all very unusual, new, so I like it.”
According to Ruslana “DKLana” Beresta, Counter-Strike teams seem more lively because the players communicate and have fun more, unlike Dota 2 championships, where both the participants and the organizers behave more tensely. The
Team Spirit manager noted that there is more freedom at CS2 tournaments.
"In CS, the teams are more ‘lively’ for me, so to speak. People communicate more, do more IRL stuff — we just saw NAVI kicking a ball around. The teams behave differently. The format of the tournament itself is a little different — in Dota, everything is a little more structured, everyone is too focused on timings, everyone is more tense and focused — both the teams and the organizers. Here, it feels like there is more freedom."
Earlier, Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov told Dota 2 fans when to expect the release of the new global patch 8.00.
