Korb3n compared salaries in CS2 and Dota 2

Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov stated that professional Counter-Strike players receive higher salaries than professional Dota 2 players due to the difference in audience size.

The Team Spirit manager shared the relevant details on Twitch.

"There is a direct correlation with the audience. Why do CS players earn more than Dota players? Because of the audience. It's probably the same everywhere. And in football, salaries are even higher, because of what? That's right, the audience."

In Counter-Strike, professional players earn significantly higher salaries than their Dota 2 counterparts. The average salary in top CS 2 teams ranges from $15,000 to $20,000 per month, while global stars can earn over $50,000 per month. In Dota 2, incomes are significantly lower, with leading esports players earning around $10,000–15,000 per month. In rare cases, up to $20,000.

We would like to remind you that earlier, Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov commented on the delay in the release of the 2025 Compendium in Dota 2.
