The captain of Team Spirit explained why they lost the final of IEM Rio 2026

Boris “magixx” Vorobyev said that the team lacked focus, which allowed Vitality to beat them quite easily in the grand final.

He said this in a post-match interview on Twitch

“After a match like this... I feel humiliated as ****. Vitality is very strong. We just got destroyed. We need to be more focused during rounds, because we were losing 5x3 situations, and other weird rounds. Thats the reason why they were able to turn some of them around”

Magixx admitted that Vitality played much better and dominated most of the match. At the same time, he pointed out that Team Spirit improved during the tournament, since at the beginning they were in much worse form than in the playoffs.

According to him, if the players were more focused, the result could be different. Still, the captain of Team Spirit stays optimistic and believes the team is showing better and better results on the CS2 pro scene.
