Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, the manager of
Team Spirit, stated that Paseka never actually planned to win tournaments. Instead, the goal was to increase stream viewership for the players, which they managed to achieve despite their losses.
He shared this during a Twitch stream.
“I don’t understand why people are upset. Did you see Mishanya’s stream numbers? Mishanya set a personal record on his stream — around 700 or 800 viewers were watching. So I think the team was created for exactly this purpose, and it’s doing its job. Why be upset? I don’t think any of them are upset. The team was made for numbers. The numbers are there. Well, not the team — Misha is getting the numbers. I don’t know about the others. I didn’t check if they were streaming and how their numbers were. So I don’t know whether they tried hard or were disappointed. I don’t share that view. You can worry if you want. I don’t”
Korb3n noted that the members of Paseka are clearly not upset about being eliminated from the qualifiers, as they have already achieved what they wanted. According to him, the streamers are setting personal records on their broadcasts, which was the main reason the tag was created.
He added that fans of the tag may be disappointed, but he is confident that the roster has already fulfilled its purpose.
Earlier, Xakoda stated that
Team Spirit were ready to take him instead of Panto, but there was a catch.
