In the global patch 7.35 for Dota 2, three bugs related to the hero Chen have been discovered. One of them allows melee creeps to significantly increase their attack range, disrupting the balance.
Mark "sikle" Lerman, an analyst for
Team Spirit, shared his discovery by posting on Telegram.
"While I'm digging into this diversity, there are already three bugs specifically with Chen:
Penitence gives a bonus attack range even for melee creeps (imagine enemies getting hit when their centaur from the high ground is attacking?)
The left talent at level 10 doesn't work at all because the ability no longer teleports;
Splash Attack for the big dragon also doesn't work"
Most likely, Valve will release a hotfix soon to address these bugs, but for now, this bug can significantly impact the outcome of matchmaking games involving this hero.
As a reminder, Valve unexpectedly released the global patch for Dota 2 in the midst of the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 playoffs, shocking players.
