Team Spirit criticized Valve for the format of The International 2023

The format of TI12 is the worst of all possible formats that Valve could have chosen. Particularly annoying are the huge breaks between matches.

Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov, the captain of Team Spirit, expressed this opinion during an interview with GosuGamers.

"Honestly, I hate this format because it's similar to the DPC, where we played one series every week. It's the same here. For example, we played against Virtus.pro - only one bo3 match in nine days. We won the series, and now we have a four-day break. Why?

There's no point in having such pauses. I would prefer to play without them. On the first day of the group stage, we played three matches. It seems a little silly to me"

Miposhka is not the only player criticizing the current format of The International 2023; many fans and esports players also disliked the idea of stretching the championship.
