Nikita “Pantomem” Balaganin said he was happy that
Team Spirit had made it to the BLAST Slam 4 playoffs, but noted that the tournament format was not very fair, as teams risked being eliminated early even with good results in the group stage.
The new
Team Spirit captain shared this opinion on Telegram.
"The boot camp is over, as are the BLAST Slam 4 qualifiers. We made it to the tournament and are very happy and excited. I think that's obvious.
The format of the tournament was such that we took a good place in the group, but one series and you can be eliminated. Probably, it's not entirely fair. But we made it to the playoffs, we are happy. Thanks to everyone who watches and supports us. Stay tuned, guys."
According to Nikita “Pantomem” Balaganin, the first map of the decisive series against
BetBoom Team turned out to be very easy for his team, but on the second map, the opponents had a more successful draft, and
Team Spirit players were unable to turn the tide of the game in their favor. Nevertheless, on the last map, Pantomem's team managed to win thanks to a successful fight.
"The first map against
BetBoom Team was very easy in terms of both draft and execution. On the second map, I think we had a worse draft, but we could have hung on and won. But somewhere along the way, we didn't finish the job. Perhaps we could have made different builds, because at the time it seemed that we simply didn't have enough damage for their heroes. On the third map,
BetBoom Team was a little easier on the lanes, but one good fight at the top, where we went down 3, and the game went in our favor. Then it was very easy."
Earlier, Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko said that they lost
Team Spirit because of the replacement of Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov.
