Airat “Silent” Gaziev admitted that
Team Spirit players initially came to The International 2025 Dota 2 tournament with a negative individual and team attitude.
The
Team Spirit coach made this statement on YouTube.
"To be honest, we were very sluggish. It seemed like everyone was weighed down, as if they were being forced to play against their will. It started at the end of the boot camp, and we talked about it: the guys were in a bad mood, as if everyone was here against their will. We arrived at the tournament feeling poisoned, with a kind of individual and team weakness. No one wanted to say anything extra. There was definitely no enthusiasm when we arrived, no one was like, “Yeah, let's go, let's play.” We overcame it later, but we didn't play any better because of it, as silly as that may sound."
According to Airat “Silent” Gaziev, although
Team Spirit managed to improve the morale of the team members during the tournament, it did not affect the team's performance. The coach noted that it was difficult for the players to coordinate their actions, which is why they simply moved chaotically around the map. Airat “Silent” Gaziev admitted that he, like the team's fans, had negative emotions about the team's performance.
"We can't seem to agree. If you noticed, we gave up almost all of the first Roshans and Terzators in this tournament. We just scatter across the map like cockroaches. When we watched the recordings and discussed what we needed to do, to get up, to set up a vision, to prepare, but it just happens over and over again — everyone forgets, everyone scatters.
I'll say this: it was quite painful to watch. I watched a little bit too. Sometimes it was painful to watch from the sidelines, so we understand you. Thank you for cheering us on and worrying about us, but apparently not this time. We couldn't do it. We didn't manage to show our best game, we didn't manage to be in the best mental state — neither as a team nor individually. In general, very little worked out."
Let us remind you that earlier, Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov hinted at upcoming changes in
Team Spirit's lineup after their elimination from The International 2025.
