Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov, the captain of
Team Spirit, commented on their loss to
Team Falcons in the grand final of FISSURE Universe Episode 3, stating that being eliminated from the tournament is not a bad result, as the team viewed the competition as practice for The International 2024.
The esports player shared this in his Telegram channel:
"We finished in second place. I can say that we got some good practice. It's a bit disappointing, but overall, we tried to treat the tournament as training, so it's fine"
Additionally, the two-time world champion pointed out the reasons for
Team Spirit loss, citing a too-greedy draft on the first map. However, Miposhka admitted that the issues were not only with the picks; the players also lacked skill in certain moments.
"Regarding the maps: on the first one, our draft was too greedy. It was tough to come up with anything early on, and we also didn't account for Puck, but we played decently. On the second, things went wrong from the lanes; our safe lane was too weak, and Viper made the difference. On the third, our draft was good and we played well, but we lacked a bit of skill. Thanks to everyone who supported us, see you at The International"
Miposhka also thanked fans for their support and reminded them that the team will soon be competing in The International 2024, where Team Spirit will aim to win the championship title for the third time.
As a reminder,
Team Spirit lost 3-0 in the grand final of FISSURE Universe Episode 3, conceding to
Team Falcons.
