Nikita “Panto” Balaganin stated that in
Team Spirit's final match at the PGL Wallachia Season 7 Dota 2 tournament against
Team Liquid, his team played confidently on the second map, while the first and third maps went in favor of their opponents.
The
Team Spirit captain summarized the match on Telegram.
“It's sad. The first game was quite unique and, in my opinion, very straightforward for us, had it not been for that incident with Tidehunter being pushed off the cliff. We won the second map very easily. We had a slightly better draft, and we played very well; our communication was on point, we saved each other, and everything was clear.”
According to Nikita “Panto” Balaganin, his team had a good chance of winning the first map, but the situation where Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov was pushed off the cliff led to
Team Liquid’s victory. The player also noted that on the third map, the opponents had better luck with the draft, and
Team Spirit should have taken a more measured approach to the game in the second half.
“In the third game, the opponent had a simpler draft. They were stronger in the mid lane with Oracle and held their ground very well in the top lane. We could have still hung in there if we hadn’t had so many unnecessary deaths. Maybe we shouldn’t have invested so many resources in Roshan. Just play, farm, and hope for a good team fight. Thanks to everyone for the support, guys; we’ll try to come back stronger.”
As a reminder, Alexander “Rue” Filin previously commented on
Team Spirit’s defeat at PGL Wallachia Season 7.
