Nikita “Panto” Balaganin said that although
Team Spirit dominated the first half of the decisive map against
Team Falcons in the lower bracket of FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, in the second half of the game, their oponents were able to turn the tide of the match thanks to a more successful draft.
The new captain of the Dota 2 team announced this on Telegram.
"We lost. We didn't quite manage to finish them off with the last pick
Venomancer. At one point, we were leading the game, dominating, took two Roshans, and even pushed them back to their base. But they managed to pull off a good smoke, kill the hero, kill Roshan, and when Roshan was already theirs, it was harder for us to play, even though we could push the lanes. Perhaps we were missing one more hook hero — someone like
Centaur Warrunner."
Nikita “Panto” Balaganin noted that the team tried until the very end to show a more decent result, which is why the final map took a long time. Nevertheless, the new captain of the team noted that recent changes in the team influenced this outcome, promising to show progress in the BLAST Slam IV playoffs.
“We tried hard, played three maps, the last one was 70 minutes long. But, unfortunately, we lost. Well, it was the first LAN tournament for the updated lineup. Thank you, guys, for cheering and supporting us. See you soon at BLAST — we'll try to show our best game there.”
Earlier, Nikita “panto” Balaganin hinted at the possible return of Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov to
Team Spirit as a coach.
