Team Spirit admitted they thought donk was a cheater

Dmitry “SOUL3” Bukhteev, head of Team Spirit Academy, admitted that the club did not believe in the talent of Danil “donk” Kryshkovets before signing the player and even considered him a cheater or a smurf.

He spoke about this in a new video on the club’s YouTube channel.

“Sergey hally watched donk. Back then he said: ‘Donk is either playing with cheats or it’s someone’s smurf. This can’t be some 12-year-old kid who kills everyone because he moves way too well’. You could see that he moved around the map really well. He understands where he needs to be to kill the opponent. All these skills were already far above average for him”

According to him, at first the academy roster couldn’t believe that donk was capable of playing like that. However later they became convinced that the star rifler truly shows an incredible level and decided to sign him at any cost.

Earlier, donk also predicted what the best CS2 highlight of 2026 will be.
