Michal “Nisha” Jankowski,
Team Liquid midlaner, missed ESL One Raleigh 2025 on Dota 2 because he lost his passport two days before the tournament, and that's no joke.
This is reported in a new video on the club's YouTube channel.
“We were practicing and playing scrimmages. Unfortunately, we had a bootcamp in Utrecht and Nisha lost his passport there two days before the flight. So he went back to Poland and we will perform with Bryle. He's a pretty good player. I'm sure we can do a lot with him.”
Although fans thought it was a joke, it turned out that Nisha had actually lost his passport at the bootcamp, and without it there was no way he could have gotten into the tournament. Instead of him, Jonathan “Bryle” De Gouya came to the tournament with the team and
Team Liquid managed to take 5th-6th place and $60,000 in prize money.
Team Spirit have implemented a separate ban for Collapse with the threat of a fine if he violates the new rule.
