Samuel “Boxi” Svan said that after the first place at The International 2024 Team Liquid lost the motivation to win, which makes the players to give their best for success.

The corresponding statement was made by the player on Twitch.

“I don't think we lost motivation after winning TI. Maybe in the first couple months after and even now we don't feel the passion that immediately makes you go all out and win, because winning at TI and some smaller tournament is a big difference.”

After winning TI13, Team Liquid also won the 1win Series Dota 2 Fall tournament, but failed to advance beyond the top-6 at the rest of the championships. At the time of writing, the team is playing the semifinals of the lower grid of ESL One Bangkok 2024 against Team Spirit with a score of 1 : 1.
