William "Blitz" Lee, coach of Team Liquid, broke down in tears after winning The International 2024 and admitted that the team was on the verge of disbanding, but managed to achieve success.

He gave his post-match interview on the main stage, overwhelmed with emotion.

"I didn’t sacrifice anything. Liquid just took a chance on a guy who had never coached a winning team before. We had so many losses, five years of not winning anything, we could have disbanded 20 times because we weren’t achieving results. We didn’t win TI, but Liquid didn’t give up on us"

He noted that the organization believed in the team, even though they could have disbanded multiple times. The coach also thanked the star players of the roster, who gave a strong push to the team's development.

"But that kept us afloat. I’m so glad that Zai, Nisha, and MATUMBAMAN gave us a chance and wanted to play with us. I’m also glad I didn’t ruin Nisha’s career. I want to thank all of our staff. You have to surround yourself with good people and succeed with those around you. I can’t help but say that I’m *****, but I’m surrounded by amazing people"
