Andreas “Cr1t” Franck Nielsen, support of
Team Falcons, admitted that the squad is currently going through tough times, and he is even surprised that with such poor form they still managed to qualify for a LAN tournament.
The esports player spoke about this in an interview with HotSpawn.
“The beginning of this year was pretty difficult for us. In January we had to play several qualifiers, and after that we participated in the group stage of BLAST Slam VI. And I think right now we are not in our best shape. We were very happy that we even managed to get here, because we are in a bad condition, which forced us to gather all our strength to reach the LAN event. We are glad to be here in Malta, since we were not sure that we would be able to perform well”
According to him, since the start of the year the team has not been able to find its own playstyle, and they have not been performing very good in scrims and tournaments. Nevertheless he hopes that things will change at BLAST Slam 6.
“But yes, the group stage was not very confident for us. I think we did not really control what was happening. We had to search for ourselves and work on ourselves. In the end we managed to make it through. Also the best-of-5 format looks interesting, and I think it might help us a little”
Cr1t noted that the match format could slightly help
Team Falcons, and that they have worked on themselves, hoping to show the first results at the tournament. However judging by his words, he is not fully sure that the team will manage to become champions at this event.
