Ivan “Vazya” German, stand-in for
Team Falcons, said that he was invited by Malr1ne and explained that he is not nervous, treating the games like a regular pub in Dota 2.
He shared this in a comment to the OFFSTAGE portal.
“Malr1ne texted me: ‘Can you play?’ I said: ‘Seriously?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I wasn’t really nervous. It just felt like a good pub game. I don’t know, I just look at mid and in my head there is only one thing: ‘Fight ***** , I’m not going there.’ And that’s it”
According to him, at first he didn’t believe that he would have to replace Ammar Al-Assaf, but eventually agreed to play. He also noted that he did not feel much pressure from the responsibility, and instead perceived it as just another matchmaking pub.
Apparently, the player will replace ATF until the end of DreamLeague Season 28, as the
Team Falcons offlaner is unable to compete due to health issues.
