Oliver "skiter" Lepko, a player from
Team Falcons, revealed that the team was disappointed with their result at The International 2024 but decided to give the current roster another year to achieve success on the Dota 2 pro scene.
In an interview during PGL Wallachia Season 2, skiter explained.
"We had a long conversation after The International 2024. We finished in fourth place, which is objectively a good result. But we had high expectations; we wanted to win. The loss didn’t break us, but it was sad that we didn’t place higher. We decided that the season was successful. We won several tournaments, but there’s still room for improvement. We agreed to stay together for another year and see what happens"
According to him,
Team Falcons considered the season successful and gave the roster another year to aim for even greater heights. Roster changes could potentially happen afterward.
It’s worth noting that the team lost to
Heroic in the grand final of PGL Wallachia Season 2, 3-1, which was a surprise to spectators and analysts as
Team Falcons were the favorites.
